Welcome to Marree Aboriginal School

Marree Aboriginal School, in partnership with the community is committed to the provision of quality teaching and learning opportunities for all our students. A positive future pathway for our students is always a priority and is embedded in our practice as a school.

With our site priorities of literacy, numeracy and community engagement, we work as a team towards these priorities and this is evident in our practice as a school.

The school consists of a Crèche, two primary classes and a secondary class.

The town of Marree is approximately 680Km north of Adelaide at the junction of the Birdsville and Oodnadatta tracks.

The population of approximately 60 permanent residents derive from Aboriginal, Afghan and European heritage.

The school enjoys strong community support with families prepared to be involved in all relevant aspects of teaching and learning programs and operational practices.
